I forgot to mention perhaps the most important thing: I am supporting the USA tonight, and in general at this World Cup. I grew up in Edinburgh so I am physically allergic to English sporting success, but I live in Hampshire now so I am watching at home because going to a pub would almost certainly result in my death.
Also, I get that you are a card-carrying member of the who-dat nation, but Shockey? Really? The swimming dude I get, but really? Out of that entire team, you go with Shockey? Jeremy face-like-a-punched-leather-handbag, ink-like-a-chain-smoking-25-year-old-mother-of-two Shockey. Not fearless leader and father of the millennium Drew Brees, not chiselled pocket-rocket Reggie Bush, Shockey.
